Mrs Maxwells Northern Italian Beefsteak tomato
MRS. MAXWELL'S NORTHERN-ITALIAN

Large pink mostly globe shaped fruits with olive green shoulders, which is part of the skin and completely edible. Fruits average just under 1 lb. to slightly larger. Fruits come on earlier than most beefsteaks of this size and keep chugging 'em out till they are killed by frost. Very good flavor and drought resistance. This truly fine tomato is the perfect example of a families preservation efforts. Definitely one to try!

HISTORY: Originally an Italian heirloom, this variety was saved by Mrs. Maxwell of Mexico, Missouri. She was given seed by a friend from Italy. Over the next 30 years she saved seed of the largest, earliest and non-cracking fruits each year.
